Herd Genetics

Our cowherd consists of descendants from some of the great cowherds in the nation. You will find genetics from Alden Farms, KA’BA Ranch, J&H Land Company, and Cal Poly. We had the great fortune to own one of the great shorthorn sires in modern times, MTS Special Effects. The 1994 National Champion Shorthorn Bull. Gary Rose and I acquired Special Effect from Dean Farms in 1997. His influence is found throughout our herd. His daughters have exceeded our expectations, and have become some of our top cows. His influence will be a part of our program for years to come.
